Curriculum
Ivo Hrachovec (1968) was born in Nový Jičín in Moravia, Czech Republic. He became an operator metallurgist by a steel producer Nová huť in Ostrava. He began his musical studies at the Janacek Conservatory in Ostrava where he studied opera singing by doc. Drahomira Míčková and clarinet by Petr Bohuš. Afterwards he graduated from the Ostrava University, Faculty of Musical Arts. In 1993 he passed out a summer program of vocal studies in Siena by maestro Carlo Bergonzi. In 1998 he met Katarína Bachmannová, Slovakian pianist, which was a crucial moment for his further voice progress. Since 2004 he has collaborated with Simona Procházková, a renowned opera singer and with pianist Bronislav Procházka. In 1996 he attended master-classes in Germany with Margret Honig.
